This Privacy Policy explains how Madison Public Market ("we", "us") operates the Madison Public Market Passport mobile and web application (the "App") and handles information you provide when using it.

Information we collect

• Account information you provide when signing up (email address, display name, optional avatar photo).
• Passport activity such as vendor stamps you collect, tours you complete, and events you save.
• Device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version, used for diagnostics.
• Optional permissions you grant, including camera (to scan QR stamps and take photos), photo library (to attach a photo), and location (to show your position on the market map). We do not access these unless you use the related feature.
• Push notification tokens if you opt in to notifications about events and market news.

How we use information

• Operate your passport, stamps, and leaderboard features.
• Send notifications you have opted in to.
• Diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who host the App and its database on our behalf, and when required by law.

Data retention

Account and passport data are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

You can revoke camera, photo, location, and notification permissions at any time in your device settings. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Neighbors map (ZIP codes)

Each red pin on the neighbors map marks a ZIP code where at least one Madison Public Market Passport member signed up. Bigger pins mean more neighbors in that area. Only the 5-digit ZIP is stored — never your name, address, or exact location — and members can opt out any time from Privacy controls.
